Lotus Recovery Center, Inc

Lotus Recovery Center is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit that supplies substance use disorder therapy and transitional housing to women seeking 12 step recovery. Our mission while the women are here is to teach them life skills, and to prepare them for living as productive members of society.

We are in the Overlea/Fullerton area of Baltimore Maryland. The home is in a residential neighborhood next to local bus routes, and proximity to grocery stores, local businesses, and other Baltimore staples. Our housing is fully furnished and completely renovated. The bedrooms are spacious and supply adequate room for personal items. We have a large, fenced backyard with a plenty of shade and room for relaxation, privacy, and other outdoor activities included within treatment. The kitchen has ample cabinet space and has two refrigerators and two stoves for clients use. Food is supplied for currently enrolled clients. Staff members are present 24/7 to support security and safety for all our clients.

LRC’s programs aim to educate and motivate clients to be emotionally intelligent, motivated, and understanding of their patterns of substance use and interpersonal behaviors. Relapse prevention, mental health therapy, and ongoing peer support are utilized to enhance treatment, provide social support, and build structure within our clients’ physical, emotional, and behavioral health. The program seeks to individualize, understand, and advocate for the self-determination and independence of clients. Identifying areas of resiliency within everyone allows LRC clinicians to customize treatment so that those skills may be most effectively used in obtaining and maintaining abstinence.

The curriculum of the LRC program focuses on the belief that people can grow if given access to an environment of support and positive regard. By providing education, structure and emotional support, Lotus Recovery Center aims to build new skills, reinforce the growth in our clients, and encourage their independence outside of treatment to be ready for discharge.

Staff: Our team is owned and operated by professionals who have experience working in the field of substance abuse, trauma, and mental health. We offer on-site peer support specialists who conduct and manage groups, individual support and case management. Our Clinical director is dually licensed in clinical social work and addiction counseling through the state of Maryland, and our Counselor is certified in substance abuse counseling through the state of Maryland. We are a community business owner and director living and working in the area of our recovery residence and who are actively engaged in the day-to-day operations.
