Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs

MDVA was created by the State Legislature in 1999 as an executive agency with the mission of assisting veterans, active duty service members, their families and dependents, in securing benefits earned through military service. Under the Department of Veterans Affairs are five major programs: Services and Benefits, Cemetery and Memorial, and Outreach and Advocacy Programs, along with Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, and The Maryland Veterans Trust. The website is easily searchable and provides links to info on many benefits-related topics including a "Get Started with the VA" link on the home page.

Landing Zone Maryland is a guide for veterans and families moving to or retiring to Maryland.
