Adult Crisis House

The Adult Crisis Program is designed to provide 24 hour/7 day a week assessment and stabilization to persons who are at risk for hospitalization or who need to step down from a hospital setting and can be expected to stabilize in a short period of time.  A typical length of stay at the Crisis House is 7-10 days.  The Adult Crisis House staff will always ensure that each individual is treated with respect, warmth, and dignity in a home-like environment.  When an individual may be in need of a Crisis Bed, a referral source must obtain the required information through a face-to-face evaluation with the consumer and document on the SMCN Adult Crisis Referral Packet.  A referral packet includes the referral application, statement of medical clearance, screening assessment, and mental status. It is imperative that all required documentation is completed in full before an application can be considered for approval.

Eligibility Requirements

Adult Crisis Services are provided for adults who are at least 18 years of age and reside in either Calvert, Charles, St. Mary's, Anne Arundel, or Prince Georges Counties.
