  1. Public Hearing Topic:
    The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) hereby gives notice of intent to utilize Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funds managed by the Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) to cover costs related to the elevation of seven homes located in the 100-year floodplain for the purposes of eliminating public safety hazards and insurance costs associated with flooding hazards. The Calvert County BOCC will consider and receive comments on increasing the capital projects budget for FY 2016 by $931,951 to cover costs related to the elevation of seven primary structures located on seven separate parcels located within in the 100-year floodplain. The elevations of the primary structures will conform to FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program and Calvert County’s floodplain regulations. No County funds have been or are proposed to be allocated for the project.
