Roslyn Carter Institute for Caregivers (RCI)

Nonprofit organization that promotes the health, strength, and resilience of all caregivers at every stage of their journey. RCI fulfills its promise to champion the family caregiver by building cross-sector partnerships, leading research projects and strategic initiatives, developing and implementing evidence-based programs, and advocating for public policy.

RCI partners with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) to support military and veteran caregivers with webinars on caregiving issues and real-world solutions, providing tools caregivers can use throughout their journey. See website for schedule.

John and Betty Pope Caregivers Scholarship support students engaged in informal caregiving roles, while helping them learn about the importance of caregiving and ultimately reach their higher education goals, and encouraging recipients to explore career opportunities within the care economy. The scholarship is open to full-time Georgia Southwestern State University students who are providing care for a loved one or pursuing a career related to caregiving. Students are awarded funding to cover in-state tuition, with additional funding allotted to on-campus housing and books as needed.
